Who We Are
Cape Animal Protection Shelter Inc. (CAPS) is a registered nonprofit organisation based in Weipa, Cape York, Queensland. We are run almost entirely by volunteers, united by a single purpose: giving every animal the chance they deserve.
Our small team of casual caretakers works rotating shifts to ensure our animals receive consistent, loving care. Our volunteer Board provides the governance, strategy, and organisational backbone that keeps CAPS running.
Animals in our care are listed through SavourLife, connecting them with prospective adopters across Australia.
