Cape Animal Protection Shelter (CAPS) is a volunteer-driven, no-kill animal rescue organisation based in Weipa, Far North Queensland.
Our mission is to provide a safe haven for abandoned, surrendered, neglected, and vulnerable animals while working towards positive, long-term outcomes through rescue, rehabilitation, foster care, adoption, and community education.
We believe every animal deserves compassion, respect, and the opportunity to live a healthy, happy life in a loving home.
Through strong partnerships with local councils, veterinarians, rescue groups, volunteers, and our community, CAPS is dedicated to improving animal welfare across Cape York and creating a future where animals and people thrive together.
